N+1 Health Coaching

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 2026

1. Overview

N+1 Health Coaching ("N+1," "we," "us") is operated by Caitlin Mason, PhD. Your privacy is a top priority. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using this website or engaging in health coaching services with N+1, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you provide directly

When you complete the contact form on this website, you may provide your name, email address, pronouns, preferred method of contact, and a message. When you engage in coaching sessions, you may share personal health information, medical history, lifestyle details, and other information relevant to your health goals.

Information collected automatically

This website does not currently use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking technologies. We do not collect any data about your visit automatically.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you share solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations
  • Provide and personalize health coaching services
  • Process payments for services rendered
  • Maintain records necessary for continuity of coaching
  • Communicate with members of your healthcare team at your written request

We do not use your information for marketing purposes, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Confidentiality of session information

All information shared during coaching sessions is strictly confidential. We will not disclose your personal or health information to any third party without your explicit written consent, except where disclosure is required by law (for example, in response to a valid court order or mandatory reporting obligations).

5. Virtual sessions and platform security

All virtual coaching sessions are conducted on a secure, encrypted platform that meets HIPAA technical standards for the protection of health information. If you are local to Seattle, in-person sessions can be arranged; no platform data is collected in that case.

6. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. N+1 does not store, access, or retain your credit card or banking information. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data and can be reviewed at stripe.com/privacy. HSA and FSA documentation can be provided upon request for eligible clients.

7. Healthcare team communication

At your request and with a signed written release of information, we may communicate with other members of your healthcare team. No information will be shared with other providers without your explicit written authorization.

8. Data retention

We retain contact form inquiries and coaching records for as long as necessary to provide services and meet any applicable legal or professional obligations. You may request that your information be deleted at any time by contacting us directly, subject to any retention requirements required by law.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal obligations
  • Withdraw consent to communication with your healthcare team at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
